After weeks of speculation over exact venues, The Football Association have confirmed the details of England’s pre‑World Cup warm‑up fixtures in Florida, with England Supporters Travel Club members now able to apply for tickets and non-members invited to register their interest.

England have a ‘home end’ allocation of just under 3,800 tickets for both matches, priced at approximately £25 in Tampa and £30 in Orlando – finally providing clarity for fans planning tickets, accommodation and matchday travel, as well as onward travel, ahead of the World Cup opener against Croatia in Dallas.

England will face New Zealand at the Raymond James Stadium in Tampa on Saturday 6 June at 4pm local time (9pm BST), before taking on Costa Rica at the Inter&Co Stadium in Orlando on Wednesday 10 June, also at 4pm (9pm BST).

Both fixtures form a key part of England’s south Florida preparation camp, with the squad set to be based in Miami, which is a considerable distance from both stadiums.

After the Costa Rica game, the England squad is expected to move to the Kansas City basecamp ahead of the opener against Croatia for the duration of the tournament.

Florida offers the climate Tuchel wants, as this phase is about conditioning and preparation before the tournament begins in earnest seven days after the final friendly, on Wednesday 17 June.

England v New Zealand in Tampa Bay

England’s opening warm‑up match takes place at Raymond James Stadium, home of the NFL’s Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the venue for Super Bowl LV in 2021.

With a capacity of around 65,000, it is one of the largest stadiums England will play in all summer, and the choice is deliberate. Tuchel wants players exposed early to tournament‑style noise, heat and logistics.

It will be England’s third meeting with New Zealand, with the first two games coming back in June 1991. While this is a different England and a different context, it remains a useful early test before competitive intensity ramps up.

Where supporters should stay in Tampa: Recommended areas include:

  • Downtown Tampa – best overall choice for atmosphere, bars and restaurants

  • Ybor City – characterful, lively and well connected

  • Westshore – closest hotel concentration to Raymond James Stadium

Supporters attending both Florida games may prefer downtown Tampa for its balance of convenience and experience rather than staying immediately stadium‑side.

Getting to Raymond James Stadium:

Tampa is heavily car‑dependent. Ride‑share works well but expect traffic delays in the final two hours before kick‑off. Plan early and avoid last‑minute arrivals.

Orlando next: England v Costa Rica

From Tampa, England move across the state to face Costa Rica at Inter&Co Stadium, home to MLS side Orlando City and Orlando Pride of the NWSL.

Unlike Tampa, this is a compact, football‑specific stadium in the heart of the city, with supporters closer to the pitch.

Where supporters should stay in Orlando

Best options are:

  • Downtown Orlando – walkable to the stadium and evening‑friendly

  • Lake Eola – relaxed, scenic and popular with travelling fans

  • International Drive – good value but requires transport on matchday

If Orlando is your sole Florida base, downtown is the most practical and sociable choice.

Getting to Inter&Co Stadium:

Orlando’s downtown location makes Inter&Co Stadium more accessible than many US venues. Ride‑share or Uber works well, but expect congestion close to kick‑off, particularly on Church Street. Parking is limited, so public transport and early arrival are strongly recommended to avoid last‑minute delays.

Moving on: Florida to Dallas

After the warm‑ups, attention shifts north. For supporters moving onto the opener in Dallas, Orlando to Dallas by air will be the simplest and most efficient mode of transport. Direct flights operate daily from Orlando International Airport (MCO) to Dallas Fort Worth (DFW), with a flight time of approximately 2 hours 45 minutes.

Driving is not realistic, with distances exceeding 1,100 miles. Booking early is advised, particularly with supporters from multiple nations converging on Dallas for group matches.
