Phil Martin
England were held to a 1-1 draw by Uruguay at Wembley in a low‑tempo affair that only came alive in the closing stages. Ben White marked his long‑awaited return by bundling in a corner to give England the lead, only to concede a soft stoppage‑time penalty that Federico Valverde converted to level the match.
James Trafford – 6
Had very little to do, but what he did he did pretty well; a couple of shaky moments with his feet, but nothing to be concerned about.
Tino Livramento – 6
Solid enough at right-back, and gives England an option on the left; did enough to cement a place in the squad this summer.
Fikayo Tomori – 6
Assured and calm, again had very little to do so very little to fault on his return to the fold.
